We believe the Bible is God’s holy message to us and that He has protected it and sustained it throughout history, and so it is completely reliable and trustworthy. That means that every other belief we hold must come from this holy Scripture and nowhere else.
•We believe the God revealed in the Bible to be the One True God, the Creator of all things, and the Author of Salvation.
•We believe God is Trinitarian in His nature, being One God, but existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
•We believe there is only one way for anyone to be saved, and that is through faith in Jesus Christ, who is God, who came to earth to make Himself known to us. Jesus Christ is the Messiah promised in the Old Testament, and He alone is the Head of the Church today.
•We believe the Holy Spirit of God indwells each individual follower of Christ, and indwells His corporate Church. He is the source of our spiritual gifts. He guides, convicts, reveals truth, and edifies the Church body.
•We believe in the sanctity of human life, and that this life begins at conception.
•We believe that God created man and woman in complimentary genders, the two thus joined creating one complete unit. We therefore believe in the sanctity of marriage, being an image of God’s union with humanity through Christ. We do not recognize any alternatives to this standard, as none are found in the holy Scriptures.
•We believe in a congregational government, where our Pastor serves as the spiritual leader of the church, its primary Bible teacher, and its shepherd. All of his work is designed to equip the members to recognize and use their spiritual gifts. Therefore the members are empowered through their service on ministry teams, service committees and our Deacon body in order to do the work we are called to do effectively and boldly.
•We believe in Christ’s Great Commission to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19-20
