Rev John R Gaters, Pastor

Rev John R Gaters has been our Pastor since May 2022, having served as Associate Pastor of Worship and Outreach since 2018. He has been in the ministry since 1998, having previously served as Minister of Music and Outreach and also has pastored two other churches. Bro John is the author of the book, Five Forgotten Truths.

Bro John has been married to Angela since September 1988. They have 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren.

Amanda Chaney, Director of Youth & Children

Amanda began as the volunteer Vacation Bible School Director in 2006. Then the church voted her as volunteer Children’s Director in 2011. In 2016, she came onboard as an official staff member as Children’s Director. God then called her to begin directing FBC Bemis’ youth ministry in addition in 2018. She strives to make relationships with the students showing them the love of Jesus and teaching God’s Word.

Amanda has been married to Anthony for 24 years and they have 3 children, Madeline (25), Austin (21), and Alstott (18).

Mona Crabtree, Administrative Assistant

Mona has been married to Mark in 2014. She has two children and nine grandchildren. Mona is a member of Parkburg Baptist Church.

Jane Fesmire, Organist

Mrs Jane Fesmire has served as our organist for many years. She is also very active in other ministries within our church.
